Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the end of the summer worship season with our final 9:30 a.m. service. It is an important time to gather so that we are not overcome by evil, but can overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

Also, please note that The ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response’s affiliate is actively present in Texas and Louisana responding to Hurricane Harvey. Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response, designated for "Hurricane Response – United States" will be used entirely (100 percent) for this disaster until
the response is complete. Please pray for the people who have been affected and are in the path of
Hurricane Harvey. You may give to the ELCA's Disaster response here: http://app.getresponse.com/click.html?x=a62b&lc=BhBQi4&mc=JO&s=reWRh&u=BswE&y=O&
Or you can make checks out to Pilgrim Lutheran Church and place
"Hurricane Harvey" on the memo line. We will then send the total offerings
received to ELCA Hurricane Harvey Response.

Finally, thanks to Congregation members for the many ways that you support the school. You are always welcome to visit and volunteer in our classrooms. We praise God for all our blessings!

Thank you from Pastor David Langseth - We received the following heartfelt message:
Dear Members of Pilgrim Lutheran Church,

Pilgrim was the perfect setting for the 50th Anniversary Worship. Greetings from my wife, Carol, too.
Sincerely in Christ, David Langseth

Financial Update - We are very thankful for our Bookkeeper Mrs. Zenzile Larry, who, in her first six months, has helped us restore our books after a challenging time of transition. Because of this ongoing work, we have not been able to send out quarterly giving reports so far this year. We are working very hard to be able to send out giving reports after the third quarter, in early October. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience.
