Subject: Greatness

Dear Friends,

There are many, many ways to spend a Sunday morning... But what is best?
Someone recently said to me, "Sometimes it's hard to get to church in the morning, but once I get here, I'm SO glad I came."

So many good things happen when we gather in the presence of our Lord our Shepherd. Jesus brings comfort in the midst of pain, clarity in the midst of chaos, simplicity in a complicated world, and vision to our future.

Join us this Sunday as we ponder Jesus' words: What my Father has given... is greater than all else...

See you at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

We extend prayers to the family of Gerald Hoffman on the passing of his sister-in-law, Dora.

This Sunday, we welcome Jenan Mohajir as our special guest and speaker at our 9:15 a.m. intergenerational session, "Honoring our Neighbor's Faith" in Maring Hall. Ms. Mohajir oversees Interfaith Youth Core’s international programs, having given presentations in the United Kingdom, Qatar, Australia, and India. Jenan is a committed Muslim and will be sharing about her faith and be available to answer any questions. In 2007, she received the Young Alumni Spirit Award from her Alma Mater, DePaul University, for her work as a young leader in the field of building interfaith cooperation among diverse communities in Chicago and around the world. Jenan is originally from India and grew up in Qatar and the United States, and speaks fluent Hindi and Urdu. Interfaith Youth Core is a Chicago-based organization that is building a movement of people from all faiths and traditions who are working together to change the world.
