Subject: From Now On

Dear Friends,

In the moment Mary receives an encouraging visit from Elizabeth, Mary belts out the greatest song in history... the Magnificat. In that moment, something has shifted, not just in Mary's womb, but also in her soul... the promises of God have become her orientation and her future.

Join us in joy and wonder this Sunday as experience the culmination of advent, the grandeur of Mary's faith, and the joy of receiving into membership the Crabtree-Nelson and Abu-Absi families... what a good season to be alive and together!  Worship Service at 8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m..

SENT TO SERVE
Thank you, Tricia Koning!
For videotaping the 2015 Kindergarten Tea Party and making copies available for sale. All proceeds went to the Playlot.

Dear Pilgrim Community:
Last year, on Martin Luther King Jr's birthday, I organized a mitten making day for the poor. We then distributed them among people living under Lake Shore Drive. It was very well received and appreciated. This year, I was hoping to include the Pilgrim Church and School community as we make more mittens to warm those who are living without shelter.
You can help in the following ways:
1) Drop off packages of handwarmers (can be purchased in bulk at Costco),
2) Mitten Assembly—On January 10th after the 10:30 service, we will be assembling the mittens. On that day, we will need volunteers and some sewing machines that we could borrow for a couple hours. Please email me your interest for sewing or if you have a sewing machine you would like to loan for the day. Thank you in advance- school parent Jennifer Goolsby at jhgoolsby@gmail.com

We Need Your Ideas for Mission Gift Recipients!
Pilgrim tithes, giving 10% of contributions of the Growing Forward Capital Campaign to Mission Gifts. Please continue to think of organizations and projects that would be worthy recipients of future Mission Gift funds and submit applications on their behalf. January 6th is the deadline for applications to be considered at the next meeting. Application forms can be found on the table in the church narthex, submit them to the church office once complete.

Care Boxes Available!
Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in the assembly of care boxes...we assembled 55 boxes! There are still more available on the table in the back of the sanctuary, please feel free to take one to someone who could use some Holiday cheer!
