Dear Friends,

We are so thankful for everyone who made our Holy Week and Easter Sunday experience so amazing!   We invite you to stay in the moment of Easter by lifting up the witness of one of the most dynamic Lutheran leaders of the 20th century, Dietrich Bonhoeffer.  We will have a special presentation on his life at 9:15 a.m., coupled by special worship services at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

We will also enjoy a special presentation from Pilgrim students regarding an important mission to build schools for girls living in poverty around the world:  Girls Supporting Girls.

Alleluia!  Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen Indeed!

Resurrection is real.  It cannot stay buried.

This service will include a litany of commitment where we as a church will promise to stand up with and for our brothers and sisters of different faiths and to seek relationship with our neighbors. On that same day the community is also invited to an adult education session (9:15am, Maring Hall) where we will reflect on how Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s life can inform our faith as Christians today.

Free Will Offering: GSG (Girls Supporting Girls) - GSG is an organization that works to educate kids about the negative impact of inequality on the ability of children worldwide to gain an education, and to raise awareness and funds to help build more schools and create more opportunities for children across the globe.   A group of Pilgrim students have met for the last 8 weeks and learned a great deal about the differences in education for kids, and especially girls, who live in countries that do not provide a free education for their children.  We will be enjoying a short presentation from participants in this program this Sunday, April 3rd.   If you would like to make a donation, please write checks to “Pilgrim Lutheran” and place on the memo line, Girls Supporting Girls, or place cash in a pew envelope and label it, “GSG” and place it in the offering plate at the time of offering.
