Fall Pet Care Tips
Did you know that canned pumpkin is good for your dog’s diet? Pumpkin helps with digestion and promotes healthy skin & coat. Try mixing in 1-2 teaspoons of canned pumpkin in your dog’s food. This also helps entice appetites for those picky dogs out there.
Fall allergies can be just as bad as the rest of the year. Keep leaves raked and grass cut short to eliminate irritation of your pet’s skin. Call your vet if you notice excessive itching or raw spots on your pet.
Fall means the summer coat falls off! Brushing your pet frequently will help keep the hair off your carpets & furniture. Don’t have time to brush your pet? Bring them to Shel-Ray for a routine brush out or try our “Hair Be Gone” shedding treatment with your pet’s grooming!
Are your kids back in school? That means school supplies that can be harmful to your pet can be strewn about your house. Certain types or markers and glue can be toxic to pets and any small object like crayons, erasers and rubber bands can cause choking. Share this tip with your children to keep your pet safe!
