Subject: 1 week left to enter your book in my favorite book contest

Every author knows that being able to call yourself not just an author but an award-winning author builds instant credibility in the eyes of readers, agents, publishers, Hollywood producers, etc.

With more and more contests opening the doors to indies, how do you know which to choose? Each requires an investment on your part and odds of winning each vary.

Of course we can do the trial and error approach but oftentimes nothing beat good old word of mouth.

I found Readers' Favorite and their contest via a Google search and this year is the third time I'm entering my books. They offer a number of categories which means your book will only compete with similar ones, which allows fair judgement.

Make sure you enter your books as well, the deadline is June 1st. Go here to enter your books now: http://alinkarutkowska.com/rf_contest

I received an honorable mention last year and a silver medal two years ago. I then attended the awards ceremony in Miami, made invaluable connections I cherish to this day and my writing and marketing career boomed.

Thanks to the awards, I attracted the attention of a Chinese traditional publisher who bought rights to a whole series I wrote and I sold close to 100,000 books in China!

And it all started with an award I received from Readers' Favorite. Give yourself an opportunity to win an award that will change your career as an author. Submit your book now: http://alinkarutkowska.com/rf_contest

Apart from this personal experience I'm sharing, there are many more reasons you should consider the Readers' Favorite Award Contest:
  • Winning books will be displayed for free at the Miami Book Fair (largest book fair in America);
  • You can win one of $50,000 prizes just for entering (I won a free marketing consult last time!);
  • Your book might be chosen to be made into a movie or TV show by Wild Dancer Films (they produced e "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt);
  • Those are the biggies, there are plenty of other reasons to enter.
Check out the contest here and make sure to enter by June 1st: http://alinkarutkowska.com/rf_contest

Fingers crossed and hope to see you at the Miami Awards' Ceremony!
