 2017 Premier Print Award Best in Show Winners

This year's Premier Print Awards Best in Show winners were announced during the Premier Print Awards Gala held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Marriott Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The competition was fierce but this year's James H. Mayes Memorial Best in Show recipient went to Leo Paper Products, Ltd. for their magnificent 360 degree Beauty and the Beast book featuring extensive die cuts, foiling, and LED lighting. It was truly a work of art!

Also recognized at the ceremony was 1st runner-up Body of Work for it's Million Dollar Desk Calendar; 2nd runner-up Artron Art Group for Escapism Bill Bensley; and 3rd runner-up to Southwest Precision Printers for Grupo Vidanta: A Legacy of Happiness since 1974.

Printing Industries of America has redeveloped the 2017 Best Workplace in the Americas (BWA) program to streamline the application process. In addition, we have focused our Human Relations benchmarking categories to promote companies embracing the most sought-after qualities for today’s workforce:

  • Safety & Work Environment
As with previous years, entrants will be evaluated with similarly sized companies. Winners will be awarded a Best Workplace in the Americas award, and a few exceptional companies will be awarded Best of the Best designations.

The deadline to complete the 2017 Dynamic Ratios survey has been extended to Saturday, September 30! The Dynamic Ratios compiles financial information from hundreds of printing and related firms from across the country.

You can take the full Dynamic Ratios survey or complete the new, shorter survey – we need just 32 line items to include your business in the report.

As always, all participants will receive a copy of the completed 2017 Dynamic Ratios report.

TAGA Call for Papers Submissions Extended

The Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) has extended the deadline for its call for Scientific and Innovation Papers for the 2018 Annual Technical Conference. The new deadline is October 13, 2018. This conference allows industry leaders, innovators, researchers, and scientists to highlight their latest research and developments within the graphic arts field.

Papers accepted and presented at the TAGA 2018Annual Technical Conference in Baltimore, Maryland (March 18–21 at the Sheraton Inner Harbor) will be published in the 2018 TAGA Proceedings. TAGA is recognized worldwide as the most prestigious and comprehensive literature resource for graphic arts sciences and technologies.
All submissions can be sent to TAGA@printing.org. The deadline is October 13, 2017. For more information, please visit tagaatc.printing.org.
