Build your own paper snowman and watch as we make instant snow - indoors! Geared toward children in grades K and up. While supplies last.

Movie Night @ 6:30 pm
Join us for a showing of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation This movie is rated PG-13.

Thursday, January 28th:
Bookworms (ages 3-5)  @ 10:30 am
Help your child develop a sense of independence and a love of reading with this lively storytime. Children will listen to books, sing songs, complete a craft and more!

Sit & Knit @ 1 pm
Join local knitters for a relaxing time filled with knitting and good company!
 Lost in Space @ 6 pm
A nostalgic gathering for fans of the Lost in Space classic TV series. We will be showing an episode of the show, followed by discussion and show and tell of collectibles. 
Friday, January 29th:
Mother Goose on the Loose (birth-preschool)  @ 10:30 am
Help your child develop early literacy skills while having a great time! This program combines music, movement, nursery rhymes, instruments and books. 
Saturday, January 30th: 
Author Event @ 1 pm
Join author Janet Barrett for a talk on her book, They Called Her Reckless: A True Story of War, Love And One Extraordinary Horse. She will discuss the story of the bond between Korean War Marines and a special horse. Books will be available for purchase and signing. 


Monday, February 1st:
Walkers & Wigglers (ages 18-36 months) @ 10:30 am
Help your toddler work out the wiggles with this fun storytime. We'll read stories, sing and complete a light craft. The program will be followed by an open play session. 
Seed Sharing @ 6 pm
The Hartford-Area Bionutrient Food Association and Library Board member Chris Fasciano will host a discussion on seed saving, seed sharing and Berlin-Peck Memorial's own Seed Library (which opened on January 26th). Attendees are invited to bring garden seeds of their own to donate to our Seed Library (please label them with name and variety, source and other detailed information about them). 
Wednesday, February 3rd:
Peek-a-Baby (birth-18 months) @ 10:30 am
Babies will listen to stories, do lap sits, and sing songs. The program will be followed by an open play session.


Coloring for Adults @ 1:30 pm
Coloring is a relaxing activity, even for adults! Come out and treat yourself to some free time. We’ll supply the intricate coloring sheets and colored pencils. You are also welcome to bring your own coloring utensils. Coloring pages provided will include floral, geometric and winter patterns.

Take Your Child to the Library Day! 10 am - 2 pm
Our craft supplies plus your imagination = awesome works of art! We'll showcase your masterpieces in the Children's Department (if you wish). There will also be a special library-wide scavenger hunt! All ages. No registration is required.

Writing Group @ 1 pm
