Berlin-Peck Memorial Library
Discover. Connect. Inspire.
June Newsletter
I am happy to tell you that we have added two more online resources to our digital platform.

Fold3 by Ancestry.com
Fold3 provides convenient access to military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served. The records at Fold3 help you discover and share stories about these everyday heroes, forgotten soldiers, and the families that supported them. On Fold3, you can combine records found on the site with what you have in your own albums and shoeboxes to create an online memorial for someone who served.

The wonderful thing about Fold3 is that you have access from home as well as the Library – just set up a free Fold3 member account with your library card and off you go!

New York Times Digital
Due to price constraints, we need to discontinue the print edition of the NY Times. BUT! We are providing digital access instead. Key benefits of the program include:
  • Access from home or in the library
  • More than 25+ newsletters which can be customized by each user to suit their individual interest and emailed directly to your inbox
  • Access to the Today’s Paper web app that brings the convenience of The New York Times in print to your tablet or desktop
  • Access to the mini crossword section (full crosswords are not included)
Fold3 is already on our website, and the NY Times will be available in June.
Happy researching!

Best,

Helen Malinka
Library Director

Dog Safety and Bite Prevention
Tuesday, June 12, 6:30 pm

Let's face it: dog bites happen. But many bites are preventable with a little education. This program will provide the tools needed to be safe around dogs, including how to understand dog body language; how to safely approach, greet, and interact with friendly dogs; and what to do when approached by an unfamiliar dog. Presented by Elizabeth Merow of the CT Humane Society.

As an admission to the program, we'd like to request you bring a donation item (pet supplies or pet food) for the humane society.
