"We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives."

  • The Small Collectibles  have quite a few new pieces.   I certainly did not make the thirty day challenge!  The first week of June found me in bed for almost five straight days with a horrible summer cold and the cough is just now clearing up! See the new pieces... Click here to see Small Collectibles.
  • Sold Pieces off to new homes.  Below is "Girls' Night Out" which sold from my website to a collector. This was a popular painting and it may be the bright pink colors.

With each monthly newsletter there is a 'gift-away' painting
to be given to one of you. Watch each month for the painting and the winner. Thank you as always for your love, kindness and support.

Gifted June Painting:

This is a small gift "Painted Just For You" piece.
In the next newsletter I can share what was painted for
this special winner.

STUDIO NEWS and a Personal note...
  • "All things work together for good." Our mantra for the summer!
  • Family Daze.
  • With a multigenerational  family, the hardest thing to remember is I cannot get up and walk out of the bedroom nude. It is not that I am a 'streaker' but very accustomed to a quick dash to the kitchen for a banana or water.  I now keep a robe on the end of the bed to grab.  Rethinking privacy.  Have to wear clothes to paint too.  We are a month into our combined household. The surprising thing is the lack of noise.  We all sleep well at night and our Son in law is pretty quiet when he gets up at 5:30 to leave for work at 6:15.  It was a hard one week as his schedule took up multiple days and nights dealing with top level IT issues.  On call is rough on any family.  Terry loves having those grands around. We cannot get enough hugs, stories and songs.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The changing studio, and the changing me... I have been adjusting to the changes upstairs and the constant traffic of children underfoot.  Canvas is stored both downstairs in the exercise room as well as under my drafting board. I am getting into a good routine of painting with my pull cart, the tool box filled with paint and my easel in a new corner position.                                                                                                                                                                               Painting this month was cut down to maybe five or six days. With the summer cold, I just did not feel good and did not want to be working. I did complete the wolf painting below and the herd of horses. This past weekend I worked on several new small collectibles and will do those through this week. I would like to finish up the thirty pieces I committed to doing in the last newsletter.                                                                                                                                                           I have been giving thought into cutting back this next year and not painting as much.  With the combined households it offers a bit more freedom to Terry and I to travel and really enjoy the world around us.  I have friends all around the world I would love to visit.  It will involve letting go of many inner fears to do this, but it is something I am truly meditating on. Being torn about painting and not feeling so responsible to paint three to four times a week might actually bring a new light and life into what I do paint.  A new light on life will change up the mix in my work.

Summer is here all hot and shiny. Tomatoes producing.  No more rain.  Only hot sun and we are heading for 100 degrees this week!  I would rather have the rain.  The tomatoes are beginning to play out but we have about four bushes still producing.

I love hearing from you! Please keep those emails coming...  I heard from an internet friend this month that sent me a precious daily devotional book back in 2013. There is always something special to learn from others. She touched my life that year, so to hear back again this summer was amazing. We are caught up and I shared new copies of the book she sent me to family and friends. Always good to pass it on.

Thank you for your support.  You continue to inspire me constantly and I look forward to checking my email each day. You are a blessing in my life.
