  • Collectors: Kasum Contemporary Fine Art - Oklahoma City  I am so honored to share with you that my paintings will be with Tony Morton and his staff at Kasum Contemporary in OKC.  It is such an incredible experience when you go into a new gallery and what makes this even more special is the location. I can literally be there in less than two hours.   The next month I will be working on a new collection of work for Kasum that will hopefully be there by mid summer.
  • Collectors: Dutch Art Gallery  "Local Color" featuring Women of Lake Highlands opened April 25th and continues through May.  Stop by the Dutch Art Gallery and check it all out. Click here for additional Information.
  • Fundraising:   This next weekend is the fundraiser for Amazing Wings.  Wish I could be there with them.        A second fundraiser  this weekend will be in Nocona, Texas at Texas Trails Gallery. The funds will benefit the Montague County Child Welfare Board. Terry and I were foster parents for many years so this is something near and dear to my heart.
  • Friday Night Fun: Tonight I will be attending a special event at Texas Trails Gallery in Nocona Texas. I will be signing posters of one of my most popular paintings of an Appaloosa. Will try to get some pictures.  Love visiting Nocona.
  • Artists: Workshops. Please let me know if you are interested in a workshop in your area.  Email me and we can get something set up.  You can help gather the group and I will come and we will have fun.
  • The Small Collectibles  are on sale through this weekend.  Click here to see Small Collectibles.
  • Sold Pieces off to new homes.  Below is "Celebration of Life" which sold from my small collectibles to a regular collector that has bought quite a few of them. Imagine my total surprise when a young new mom, a good friend of a friend, messaged me on Facebook, excited  about her new painting.  Truly the love carries forth and I am smiling.  The new baby's room has "Celebration of Life" hanging in it.  One collector bought and gave it to someone I know on the east coast. What a small amazing world.

  • "Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Change is constant. Predictable can be boring as it the path most of us seek in our lives. The Passion vine trails out attaching to whatever it is near.  The path is never the same.   This is our first bloom of 2015.
  • I am hoping through this summer change ahead for our family, that my studio stays put. I have said goodbye to Visual Language Magazine and to all the extra work with Artists of Texas.  In addition now there is conversation of a road ahead that leaves us a bit hesitant. By next newsletter I should know which path we took, or if we are busy blazing a new one. Please let me know what you are up to, as I will pray for you as well.   Yes, stay in touch.
  • The Sight of Redbirds around the house bring huge smiles to my face. We have a large family living in the back yard and a young couple in the tree right outside my studio window. The porch is a two story porch with windows that seem to attract the young groom. He flies up and sits on the window sill staring at me. I was trying to figure out why he was pecking on the large glass window over the foyer. Then I realized I had a stained glass of some redbirds together and he must think it is a couple crossing into his territory.  When we get up each morning he is on the upper porch window tapping away.  When I make the studio he flies over to my window and looks in at me as if to say Good Morning.  Lord, I love this little bird and the joy he brings to our home.

Few more days of sunshine.  Not only do we have warmer weather, we have really sunshine. April was one of the wettest months we have seen.  Finally May has arrived and we have two to three days of sunshine and then more rain. Our lake are filling up... and heck so is our backyard. I have beautiful blossoms in every bed... and of every color.

Remember please keep those emails coming... Keep your ideas and thoughts flowing to me. From horses, to flowers, to portraits, to the garden series... what should I paint?  My heart is open to grow, I hope yours is too.

Thank you again for your belief in my art. You continue to inspire me constantly and I look forward to checking my email each day.
