Planting Seeds and Smelling like Dirt.

Yep. It is that time of the year. Time to plant the seeds and watch them grow.

We moved into this smaller home in April of last year. Flower beds were not a priority but Terry made sure I had my fair share of zinnias. This year he has cleaned out the entire front bed and just finished planting four rose bushes. A yellow one, a peach one, a red one and a pink one.  I shall be filling vases in a few months. Each one was picked for its scent.

No it has not been cold. We launched into spring in early February here in Texas with many days already in the eighties. Normally we have snow in February. I did fall ill the end of the first week of February and it wiped me out for about four or five days and still took another three or four to feel good again.  I did lose five more pounds putting me right at my goal. Now to get back painting.

We do miss keeping that little grandson of ours.  Today we will pick him up early from school and spend a few hours with him. That little guy was walking around the past two months like a germ factory. That is how I got sick. I had a mask on in the back seat with him and he sneezed and it was right into my eyes.

There is a show opening at the  The Fringe Gallery in Salt Lake City. They are open now but will do an official opening on Friday March 17th coinciding with the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. I am pretty excited to have my work there.

The Fringe Gallery  345 W Pierpont Ave - Salt Lake City, UT 84101

Painting is all over the wall, literally.    I will be taking a workshop with a contemporary abstract artist next week and looking forward to it. It will be fun and hopefully some new work will come out of it.

Thank you for following my art work.

Running Colors After the Rain
3 x 4 ft
Oil glazing on Canvas

This was finished for the Mirada Show but with the weaving of the little girl (Which was the beginning and basis of the painting...) Mirada felt it rather personalized.

I laughed because every piece of art from my studio is personalized. Watch the video.

I have one collector already interested in this unusual piece. It will be sold for a special price, so if you are interested, please email me.
