Fishers of Men in Over 230 Countries
Together We Spread the Gospel on The Net

The enemy is alive and rampant online with a word of unbelief. A message of hate for Christianity and Jesus. A message that is leading countless children to embrace unbelief. The number of atheist sites and organizations posting online is increasing rapidly. If you go no further in this message, at least go HERE and see exactly what we are talking about. Here is a short video we would like you to watch also.

The world needs sites like FaithWriters, prepared Christian authors and as many Christian articles and books that point to Jesus as possible. The web especially needs your Bible studies, apologetic articles, calls to salvation, nonfiction and fiction articles and books leading people to Jesus. Together we attract lost people from all over the world who need Jesus along with believers who need their minds renewed and encouraged. God has given us a great opportunity to reach many people who may have never heard about Jesus. The image above marks the location of our visitors.

Numerous people from around the world have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior directly through FaithWriters. We contact every person who leaves an email address, and provide them with more information. Sometimes we correspond with them several times. We even offer to place them in contact with another believer (FaithWriters member) in their country. Consider how much time people --- especially kids --- spend on the internet these days. Watch this two minute video from Kimberly on how she found God on the internet.

A few unedited emails from people who have accepted Jesus on the site.

For quite some time now, FaithWriters has been experiencing increasing expenses and declining income.  The current trend is not good. The vast majority (99%) of our members are free members, even though our membership is only pennies per day. Our main ongoing expenses come from administering the Challenge, other tools that help writers improve and site maintenance. We have regular and growing expenses including a hefty current expense to convert our large site to a mobile responsive site.

We are asking you to help by upgrading (Gold $5.95 or Platinum $10.95 per month) and supporting the spread of the gospel and the growth of Christian writers on FaithWriters.  As followers of Jesus, we are making a difference by publishing the truth of Jesus. Men and women from over 230 countries (View Countries Here) are drawn to the FaithWriters by the various articles on the end of our virtual fishing pole. Often our visitors are from closed countries to the message of Christ and they have no other way to learn about Jesus. They are able to learn from our evangelism site and the sister-sites to which we have provided links, including sites with in-depth information in their native language.

You can also upgrade and designate it as a payment to sponsor new writers. We have many people from around the world who do not have the funds to upgrade. In some countries, even if they do have the funds, no payment processor will handle online payments due to online corruption in their country.

Upgrade or sponsor a person HERE. Just click on Gold or Platinum. As a current member you just need to do the PayPal portion. You do not need to do a new profile. When we see your PayPal come through, we will credit your account. If you wish to sponsor a member, email us after you do the PayPal and tell us your payment was for this purpose.

We need to keep telling people about Jesus! Will you help us?

We wish you many blessings in Christ and thank you for your support!

Michael & Bea Edwards and everyone at FaithWriters

In supporting FaithWriters you gain access to more tools to improve your writing, foster the growth of new Christian writers and spread the gospel in over 230 countries online. All for pennies per day.
Please Pardon the Work - Mobile Responsive Conversion - Patience Requested

FaithWriters will soon begin a gradual conversion to a mobile responsive site. Much of the hard work of individual page conversion has already been done on a duplicate site designed for development. We will gradually be replacing the current site pages with pages that will automatically re-size based on your viewing device. This has been a very large and time consuming project due to the size of the site. You should not notice any interruption on a normal sized laptop or larger screen. Hopefully you will not even notice the gradual change on mobile devices. However, there could be issues at times with links not working and misaligned formatting on pages. If you are using a mobile device, for a time you may experience pages that respond correctly to your device size and other pages that display in their current full size format. A gradual transition will avoid any huge issues that might occur by transitioning all at once.

We thank you for your patience.

Easily Increase the Readership of your Articles

We are asking you to increase your readership, spread the good news and help FaithWriters by using the FaceBook share button when you publish articles.  It is very easy to do, just watch this short video.

Tweeting your articles and liking them on FaceBook will help too.

There is a Way - Karen Pourbabaee

“I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Thine ordinances before me.” Psalm 119:30 NAS

Earlier in Psalm 119, the psalmist pleas with God, “I am a stranger on the earth. Do not hide Thy commandments from me.” (v.19) The words of a desperate, lost soul. One begging for direction and consolation, just like the rest of us, millennia later. The road map for us sojourners is God’s Word so eloquently elevated in this psalm. These are the treasures found along the faithful way:

Purity (v.9,11): God’s Word woos us toward His way, the way of holiness and purity. Read it daily.

Counsel (v.24): He speaks to us through His Word…it is living and has a Voice. Listen for it.

Revival (v.25,40,50,93,107,149,154,156): Open your mind and heart to God’s Word in your season of languishing. Those times in the valley, determine to read God’s message of revival, then receive it.

Strength (v.28): Need courage to step forward? God has a specific Word for your journey and it will strengthen your soul. Pray for it.

Lovingkindness and salvation (v.41): God’s lovingkindness always gifts us with salvation. Unwrap it.

Hope (v.49): Hope is the anchor of the soul. It stabilizes our lives that we may advance in living hope. Reach for it.

Comfort (v.52): In fears and tears, His Word whispers solace into our hearts. We can go on with one Word from Him. Seek it.

The faithful way begins with God’s Word. It’s not a passive way. Notice the verbs…read it, listen for it, receive it, pray for it, unwrap it, reach for it, seek it. But “it” makes all the difference in this world.

Topic: MAIL (02/18/16)
TITLE: Much Anticipated
By Gary Ritter
02/24/16 ~1st Place

Margaret Hanson anticipated the knock on her door by standing ready to open it at the first tap. She leaned against the wall to catch her breath. Would this be the day she received the letter she so longed for?

Minutes slipped by. Where was the postman? She glanced at her clock on the end table by the couch. 11:33. Had the neighbor’s dog delayed him? That awful beast growled and barked from morning to night. It wouldn’t surprise Margaret that he’d taken a bite out of the postman’s leg and sent him to the hospital. That had never happened before, but there was always a first time.

Nerves set in. Margaret’s fingers twitched. They drummed against the aluminum rails of her walker. Her feet hurt. If the postman didn’t come soon, Margaret would have to shuffle back to the couch and await him there. She didn’t want to do that. It meant that much more time until she’d see the letter. She’d have to struggle up off her seat and make her way back to the door in order to open it. Precious minutes!

She had to rest. However, a quick peek outside wouldn’t hurt. Maybe she’d see the postman coming. It hurt to turn the knob with her swollen, arthritic fingers. When the postman came she might have to ask him to open the letter for her. She managed to crack the door and stick her head outside. There was Mrs. McCawley and Mr. Bennett taking their late morning constitutionals. Margaret’s heart sank. Not a sign of the postman. If she were younger and more spry she’d pull up a chair and wait, watching the bustle of her neighbors. Perhaps she’d fix a nice cup of tea instead.

With an ear to the door she made her way to the cupboard, removing a teabag and her cup. She filled a container with water and placed it in the microwave. She didn’t like this modern contraption, but something was wrong with the stove and she had no choice. In a couple minutes she removed the container and let her tea steep. Another glance at the clock in the living room. 11:57. My goodness! He was so late!

Margaret added milk and sugar to her tea and took a sip. She winced at how tepid it tasted. Was that microwave acting up again? She’d have to talk to the management of this apartment. If they were going to fully furnish it, surely they had an obligation to make things work properly.

The morning newspaper lay on the coffee table where the nice woman who woke her had left it earlier. Its headlines had proved incomprehensible at first glance. There was so much happening in the world. It had seemingly passed her by. She settled onto the couch, her right hip aching, and perused the rest of the front page. The words took on a sameness in each article she read. In fact, yesterday’s paper hadn’t been all that different. She set it down in disgust.

Knock. Knock...

"One of the key things about the Challenge for me has been the recent addition of the Ratings Report for Platinum members. It’s happened far too many times that I write a story I think is REALLY good and should easily make the Editor's Choice, but it ends up nowhere near the top. After muttering and grumbling a while, if I choose to submit it for a Report, I get to see how my perception differed from that of the judges. When they point out the flaws of the story, I humble myself, study the suggestions, and try to incorporate those ideas into my future pieces. Sometimes I succeed at that, and at other times I don’t, but I definitely learn from the feedback. The Ratings Report was a great addition to the website, and a real advantage to membership for me." We Always Respond to Emails

If you do not receive a timely response to an email, we did not receive your email or you did not receive our reply. We are constantly battling overwhelming amounts of spam and sometimes emails we should
receive end up in our spam by accident.

You should check your spam and make sure that writer-support@faithwriters.com,
bea@faithwriters.com and michael@faithwriters.com are on your email providers approved list.

If you have tried more than once and get no reply, click on a contact link at the bottom of most FaithWriters pages and send us a message telling us of the issue. We will try and email you from another email provider.
Another Great Way to Improve The Critique Circle

Members and paid editors provide the critiques in the circle. We just added two more paid editors to the Critique Circle and they are telling us they need more submissions.
You can even submit your judged Challenge entries to the circle.

"I have a few, very few, trusted friends who will edit me with a scowl. Most people want you to feel good so they give you compliments about your writing, and these don’t help at all (except emotionally). Really, you need some grouches to edit your work." Philip Yancey in a FaithWriters interview.

To see if you are paying attention, Michael is giving away free Critique Circle credits to all Platinum members who read this and respond. This limited offer means you do not need to provide a critique, you just get two, three or more critiques on a piece you submit. Just email Michael@FaithWriters.com and ask for a free credit. This is a real chance to receive some very constructive and private critiques of your writing.
