Cool WIP by Tim Pickl

“So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12 (HCSB)

Every moment of every day, companies all around the globe are manufacturing or servicing products we all enjoy. This daily process is called WIP, known as work in progress or work in process. In the business world, monitoring WIP is a necessary day-by-day Management task. Emotional Intelligence also plays a part when following WIP; Management must approach the numbers in a calm, objective manner. “Taking care of business” simply means focusing on the tasks at hand.

Likewise, the children of God are a work in progress or work in process. Spiritually speaking, Jesus is the Master Potter, shaping our lives through the process of spinning, adding and subtracting, and gradually shaping us into the vessel he envisions. We need to respond in 110% agreement with Him, keep calm and carry on attitude every day, focusing on working out our own salvation.

“Yet Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our potter; we all are the work of Your hands. (Isaiah 64:8 - HCSB) Help me today to be pliable in Your hands. I yearn to fulfill Your purpose and plan for my life.”
