Flip the Switch by Toni Babcock

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Phil 1:6 ESV

You have heard the old phrase "the old gray mare just ain't what she used to be" - well, don't sell yourself short when life tells you you're a candidate for the glue factory. God isn't finished with you yet, because no matter how old or used up we think we might be, what matters most is what we are plugged into. And God plugs His people into a whole new source of energy. We just need to start believing it and flip the switch. Are you tempted to think it's every other Christian that’s got what it takes to succeed in the Christian life? Or are you envious of that handsome steed that puffs his chest and stomps his hoof at you? What's he got that God didn't give him? And might you be resisting the call of God to serve the Lord because you think you're past your prime? Well here's my advice: let's believe God has a plan for every one of us who name the name of Christ, and flip the switch of faith. Let's stop looking up in envy toward others, or down in disdain at those that don't measure up in our eyes. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, because that's where the real power comes from. Jesus has a job for us to do. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others and get crackin' - then start to change the world.
