Merry Christmas From FaithWriters

Morning Star Rises – by Anna Darlene Edmondson

“Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Behold darkness shall cover the earth, but the Lord shall arise...and His glory shall be seen in you” (Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV)

God, who said ‘let there be light,’ sent bursting Light colliding and overtaking evil. Darkness didn’t comprehend nor overrule its’ illumination (John 1:5). Depravity and failure of man can’t frustrate His divine intentions.

Light descended quietly, carried by Virgin Mary and rewrote Eden’s history. Redeeming sinful man and now a shining beacon to ‘whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life’ (John 3:16).

Light penetrates deeper than knowledge of the wisest (James 1:17). Indescribable radiance shone brilliantly on Damascus Road blinding Saul [Paul]. Once converted, he wrote ‘not only were we in darkness, but spiritually dead’ (Ephesians 2:1).
Christmas’ real beauty fades not, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14). Because the Anointed One lay upon Mary’s breast, suffered, died, placed in a grave that could not hold Him; deliverance came defeating Satan and opening prison doors “The people living in darkness have seen a great light; upon those living the region, in the shadow of death, light is sprung up” (Matthew 4:16 Complete Jewish Bible).

Let there be Light in our countenance, our homes, cities, countries. Yes, even to the ends of the earth (Matt 28:19).
God is light, and He lifts us up in Himself and poises us as surely as He established the stars, in the very light that He is in. He makes us meet [able] to be partakers of that wonderful inheritance. Slowly, surely the Son of God’s life is manifested in our mortal flesh. ~~~Oswald Chambers 1917
