From the Chairman’s Corner . . .

“End-Dependence” Day Celebration

At this time in America’s history, things continue to look more and more like what lead to the founding of this land centuries ago. You might be asking, “What do you mean?” Let me explain.

During the early inception of this country, King George and the English Parliament were passing more and more onerous laws upon the Colonists in the thirteen colonies. In essence, the Colonists were treated as economic slaves to the English crowns.

According to the Tax Foundation, Tax Freedom Day 2009 for the United States of America is April 13, over four months into the year! It now takes Americans over a third of a year’s labor just to pay federal taxes! And this does not include any local taxes such as those of city, county, and state.

Have you had enough already? Or let ask me ask it this way: How’s that two party system working out for you?

Do you think Travis, Bowie, Crockett and at least 186 others chose to die for the:
  1. IRS
  2. FDA
  3. BATF
  4. United Nations
  5. Federal Reserve
And this is a short list. I know you have probably read it before, but read Davy Crockett's "It's Not Yours to Give" story here.

In two weeks, you and I will attend parades, ball games, cook outs, swim parties and firework shows, all in the name of July 4 celebrations…. Yet how many will take just 15 minutes out of this national holiday to recite and then discuss the concepts upon which this day was founded?

We have a great opportunity this year to make a stand and to let our voices be heard. We are co-sponsoring the “End Dependence Day Project,” and we are asking you to declare your independence… not from King George, but from the same principles that are still alive in our nation’s leaders and capitol…King Washington, D.C.

Use our flyer to send to your local paper, and invite your family, friends, neighbors and business associates, as well as your local city, county, state, and federal officials to take part in the public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Download a Adobe PDF copy of flyer here.

If you want to change the flyer and add your own information we have included a Powerpoint copy of the flyer here for download.

For God, Family, and the Republic,
Bryan Malatesta
Chairman
