CASA Received a $150,000 grant from the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg.

We will expand and enhance our capacity as a non-profit organization serving domestic violence survivors by developing a successful social enterprise business to help provide survivors with marketable employment skills and work experience to gain long-term, full-time employment. It can be scary to think about leaving your home when your best alternative is a shelter. These organizations' investment of time and funds in CASA are helping make that decision a little easier. Because of them and other socially conscious people, our domestic violence center isn't just a sterile shelter-- it is a temporary, emergency home for people escaping violent abusers.

CASA's shelter has constantly changing needs. This month we would be especially grateful for items on this list, such as:

    CASA teams up with Iglesia Misionera to give out FREE BACKPACKS and school supplies at this fun community event with Great Explorations, All Children's Hospital, the American Red Cross, the Fire Department and more. You must pre-register by July 8 to receive a backpack. 
    July 21: 43rd Annual Sunrise Sale
    The Downtown Business Association has chosen CASA as the nonprofit beneficiary at this major shopping event, known as the best pajama party in Tampa Bay! Over 40 St. Petersburg retailers will be offering extreme discounts and have donation collection boxes for items off CASA's wish list starting at 6:43am July 21.
