Dear Stargazers,

In true Mercury Rx fashion I had second thoughts about replacing the 90-minute new client reading, so it's going to stay on the menu. I also decided to add my Parenting Insights reading to the menu.
Until now, I was doing this reading by request for existing clients, but there's been such wonderful feedback that I've decided to make it available to everyone. You can click the link above to learn more about it.

Also, I want you to know that if you've purchased any of my focused readings (e.g., Your Venus Story), or if you purchase one in the future, you qualify as a returning client and can purchase an annual forecast or a 30-minute / 60-minute targeted guidance reading.

And speaking of guidance, let's take a quick peek at the planetary activity ahead.

BEST DAYS

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Sept. 4, 12, 14

BEST AVOIDED

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

Sept. 5, 13
A Glimpse of Totality

Like most of you, I wasn't in the path of totality. Neither was my friend and fellow astrologer Chris Flisher, who traveled to Tennessee to see it in all its glory. He sent me this photo to show me the amazing event he had just witnessed and described it as an extremely humbling experience (and that's coming from an Aries!)

The photo was taken by one of his friends. I have permission to share it with you in my newsletter but do ask that you refrain from sharing it on social media.
Eclipse Insights

A few days ago, I sat down to work on this newsletter and wrote the following paragraph:

With transiting Mars activating the 8/21 eclipse point this weekend and transiting Mercury triggering the point when it stations direct (9/5), the coming week is definitely one to watch.

As I'm sure you all know by now, yesterday while Mars was activating the eclipse point, North Korea tested a nuclear bomb. In truth, this shouldn't come as a shock because it's the 6th one they've tested. (The other tests were conducted in October 2006, May 2009, February 2013, January 2016 and September 2016.)

Is it really a hydrogen bomb that could sit atop a missile? Mercury retrograde at the time of the announcement suggests we don't don't have all the facts, but after it stations direct and triggers the eclipse point (9/5), we can expect to learn the details and hear news of global initiatives.

Solar Eclipses: The Beginning of What?

Solar eclipses are associated with beginnings and can announce a new path, relationship or cycle of development.

As it happens, a solar eclipse can also coincide with the beginning of a crisis. On the global stage, North Korea is a timely example.

On a personal level, I know that formore than a few of you, the 8/21 eclipse coincided with a personal crisis involving the death of a loved one. Again, I want to offer my condolences and affirm that you and your loved ones are in my heart and prayers.

While the death of a loved one isn't a typical or common manifestation, it's not unusual either. Based on years of personal and client-related experience, I firmly believe that eclipses often represent exit points for the soul. In such cases, I view a lunar eclipse as the end of the physical journey and a solar eclipse as the beginning of a spiritual one.

At any given moment in time, people are celebrating while others are grieving. This weekend tens of thousands of people will be enjoying the Labor Day weekend just as tens of thousands in the path of hurricane Harvey will be grieving the loss of life as they knew it.

In my own life, there were several times when those close to me were experiencing joyful events while I was in emotional agony.  For me, astrology was the anchor that held me steady as I clung to the knowledge that these cycles would eventually pass. Back then, I used to listen to this song over and over again and think that I had a theme song, this would be it. To this day, it's still one of my favorites.

If you're in that place now, m
ay you find the anchor that works for you.
FULL MOON at 13°53' PISCES
September 6, 2017 | 3:03 AM
Washington, DC

In any given year, the full moon in Pisces is always a significant one.  As the 12th and final sign of the zodiac, the full moon in Pisces represents the end of a cycle.

In this chart, the Moon is conjunct Neptune, the planetary ruler of Pisces, which means this full moon is saturated in 12th house energy. The powerful emphasis on the last sign of the zodiac suggests that many of you may wrap something up or let something go.

Since this sign/planet/house is associated with surrender, you'll do so willingly, and since it also rules grief, some of you may do so tearfully. If so, I'm going to ask you to trust that when the dust settles, you're going to experience expansion and/or a newfound sense of freedom in your life.

With 29° on the 1st and 7th houses (the axis of relationships), this full moon may shed light or prompt a decision connected marriage, professional partnerships or close friendships.

The energy of this full moon is also a highly psychic one, so don't be surprised if this full moon brings an intuitive gift to light or if your dreams are vivid and seem like so much more than the ordinary dream. Those of you with empathic tendencies may feel this energy quite strongly.

Finally, since this full moon can also inspire imagination, some of you may be wrapping up a creative project or a new idea may come to light. However, if you're feeling a bit down, be mindful not to let your imagination get the better of you.

Now let's get personal.
The house that holds the Moon is where the action is in your chart and where something is likely to come to light, to fruition or to an end. Since a full Moon falls across two houses, it's important to consider the life areas of the house that holds the Sun as well.

So what might the Pisces full moon ask you to surrender? Well, that depends on which house it lands in your chart.

If you don't know which house holds 13°53' Pisces in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the Full Moon falls in your solar (sun-sign based) chart).

If your Sun Sign is:

Aries, the new moon falls in your solar 12th house of secrets, past lives, healing and psychic abilities. Read the 6th house as well.

Releasing with the Pisces Full Moon

Once the full moon peaks and the matter is concluded, it's over and the next step is to release any attachment to it. That's why, the period of time between the full moon and the next new moon (the time while the moon is waning or disappearing from sight) is energetically ripe for releasing things from our life.

You can release anything under any full moon, but since this one is saturated in Pisces energy, it's especially helpful for releasing:

Negative beliefs, fears or circumstances related to spirituality, past lives, karma, spending time alone, hospitals, imprisonment, oceans/bodies of water, mysticism.

Traits or tendencies to be needy, gullible, helpless, dishonest, reclusive, addicted, self-sabotaging, impractical.
Closing Thoughts

For more than 100 years, the United States has celebrated Labor Day, the holiday honoring the contributions of the working class to the nation, under the Virgo Sun.

How fitting that this annual holiday is celebrated while the Sun is in the sign of work and service. It's also fitting because as the natural ruler of the 6th house, Virgo also rules the daily routine, and for many people, Labor Day is a reminder that summer, vacations and casual Fridays are a thing of the past as it's time to return to the daily grind.

So whether you're having a barbecue, shopping the sales or just enjoying a quiet day off, Happy Labor Day to you and yours!

Until next time,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
