Dear Stargazers,

It's hard to believe that (here in the northern hemisphere) in just a few weeks the winter solstice will be upon us. Although it's not my favorite season, I've always felt comforted by the winter. I used to think perhaps this is because the bear is my spirit animal, but over the years I've also come to believe it's because my life began on a day with below freezing temperatures.

My Mom was an April baby, and spring was her favorite season. She loved gardening and nurturing houseplants. Looking back over the years, I can't remember a time when she didn't plant a vegetable garden. In her 85th year, she was out there planting basil, parsley, three different varieties of tomatoes, white eggplants, peppers and cucumbers. In contrast, I could never grow anything. Countless african violets have died on my watch, prayer plants have gone to heaven and lucky bamboo has always been anything but under my roof.

That's why after my Mom passed, I gave her Christmas cactus and crown of thorn plants, both of which she had for years and grew from teeny tiny buds, to our neighbor. I stopped by to see her for the first time in almost a year, and the first thing she did after saying hello was to proudly show me they were in full bloom. In her mid-70's, she too is a devoted plant lover and gardener who calls spring her favorite season. Every year, she's out there planting beds of flowers right after her spring birthday.

What about you? Do any of you relate strongly to your season of birth?
PLANETARY FORECAST
(December 5 - December 18)

Best Days

While there are other days during this time frame that fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

December 6, 10*, 14, 16, 17

*The transiting Sun-Saturn conjunction on December 10 suggests that some of you will make some kind of a commitment around that time. For example, you may decide commit to a project, a diet, an exercise plan or a course of study, or it could be something bigger like a romantic commitment or a financial investment.

Best Avoided

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

December 5, 7, 9, 15

Eclipse Trigger

From December 12-14, transiting Mars will be triggering the August 18th eclipse point. If you have a planet or sensitive point at 24-27° Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio, that eclipse connected strongly with your chart. Consequently, this full moon could revive an issue or coincide with an ending or resolution related to something that occurred this past summer.

PLANETS ON THE MOVE

December 1:   Mercury enters the pre-retrograde shadow.
December 7:   Venus → Aquarius
December 19: Mercury Stations Retrograde in Capricorn.
FULL MOON at 22°25' GEMINI
December 13, 2016
7:05 PM | Washington, DC

Like all full moons, the role of this one is to bring something to light or to a conclusion. Since the moon is in Gemini, there's a focus on communications, information, research, analysis and, most of all, details.

With the moon falling in the 12th house of this chart, something hidden is likely to come to light. What kind of things? Well, whenever the 12th house is involved, a secret could be revealed. Now, just because it's a secret doesn't mean it's a scandal. It could simply be an announcement about a project that's been kept under wraps until now.

The possibility of something being revealed is also supported by the placement of Uranus in the very public 10th house of this chart, where it happens to rule the secretive 8th house. As it's activated by an opposition (push) from Jupiter (expansion), there may be some type of public announcement.

Looking at the condition of the moon, the good news is that this one is linked to its fellow air signs in an aspect pattern known as a Grand Air TrineThis means that the Moon in Gemini (intellect) is part of a divine triangle involving Mars (action) in Aquarius and Jupiter (expansion) in Libra that promotes a flow of steady, positive energy that's curious, expressive and perceptive.

Now, the Moon is in the 12th house, and as it happens, Jupiter is in the 4th house, and Mars is in the 8th house. This is significant because in the natural horoscope, these three houses constitute the water signs (Cancer is the natural ruler of the 4th; Scorpio the 8th and Pisces the 12th), and as such, are psychic houses. When you place the flowing energy of a Grand Air Trine in psychic houses, the potential for intuitive based insight is extremely strong. As a result, for some of you this full moon will coincide with a sudden understanding, revelation or other type of Aha! moment.

In addition to being psychic houses, the 4th, 8th and 12th are also known as the houses of endings. The positive flow of the Grand Air Trine suggests that for some of you, this full moon will bring an understanding and/or acceptance of the need to release a situation, relationship or mindset from your life.

Bottom line: Given the positive flow of the Grand Air Trine across the houses of endings, the energy of this full moon is especially helpful for releasing what no longer serves you.

Getting Personal

Since a full moon involves the Sun and the Moon, it falls across two houses in your chart. The house that holds the Moon is where the action is in your chart, and something related to one (or more) of the life areas ruled by it may come to light, to fruition or to an end.

However, as the Moon lights up one house, the Sun lights up its opposite one. Since houses work in pairs, you should consider the life areas ruled by the opposite house as well.

If you don't know which house holds 22° of Gemini in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out which house the full moon falls in your solar chart.

If your Sun sign is Aries, it falls in your solar 3rd house (siblings, neighbors, short trips, cars, contracts, negotiations.). Read the 9th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Taurus, it falls in your 2nd house (income, spending, personal values, self-esteem, tangible assets). Read the 8th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Geminiit falls in your 1st house (your physical body, attitude towards life). Read the 7th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Cancer, it falls in your 12th house (spirituality, creativity, mental health, addictions). Read the 6th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Leo, it falls in your 11th house (groups, associations, hopes, casual friends, colleagues). Read the 5th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Virgo, it falls in your 10th house (career, fame, status, reputation). Read the 4th house as well.

If your Sun sign is Libra, it falls in your 9th house (education, law, religion, foreign and long-distance travel, publishing). Read the 3rd house as well.

If your Sun sign is Scorpio, it falls in your 8th house (intimacy, shared resources, other people's support, birth, death, estate matters). Read the 2nd house as well.

If your Sun sign is Sagittarius, it falls in your 7th house (marriage and all one-to-one relationships including best friends, adversaries, business partners and clients). Read the 1st house as well.

If your Sun sign is Capricorn, it falls in your 6th house (health, work, pets, diet, nutrition). Read the 12t house as well.

If your Sun sign is in Aquarius, it falls in your 5th house (romance, children, creative self-expression, entertainment). Read the 11th house as well.

If your Sun sign is in Pisces, it falls in your 4th house (home, family, real estate, parents). Read the 10th house as well.
Releasing with the Gemini Full Moon

From December 14 through December 28, you can use the waning energy of the moon to help you release unwanted beliefs, traits or circumstances from your life.

Although you can release anything under any full moon, since this one is in Gemini, its energy is especially help for releasing:

Negative beliefs or fears connected to your intelligence, memory, learning ability or mental faculties, speaking, writing, traveling, cars and driving, trains, escalators and elevators, siblings, neighbors.

Traits or tendencies to be indecisive, restless, capricious, insincere, superficial, nervous, unreliable, conniving, nosy or dishonest.

ELECTORAL FLIP?

As I wrote in the last issue, it seemed clear that December will be a pivotal month for President-elect Trump. Why? Because the December 13th full moon falls falls exactly on his natal full moon Also, this chart features Mars 25° Aquarius, which opposes his natal Mars in his 12th house (secrets, hidden enemies, conspiracies).

As I'm writing this, Green party candidate Jill Stein is spearheading a recount in three key swing states that's being supported by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic party. To be clear, I am not alleging a conspiracy, but given the astrology, I feel it's reasonable to speculate that from Trump's perspective there is one.

In Michigan, the Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the recount, and Jill Stein filed a federal lawsuit (a hearing is scheduled for today). Meanwhile, after announcing plans to drop the Pennsylvania recount, Stein has announced that she's going to escalate it by filing a federal lawsuit on Monday. Meanwhile, Wisconsin's deadline is currently December 12th, the day before the full moon.

And just a few days later on December 19th (yes, the day Mercury stations Retrograde), the electoral college is scheduled to cast its votes.

Will Trump still be the President-Elect after the recounts and the electoral college vote? Or as the transiting moon moves through Scorpio on inauguration day, will Pluto's daughter Hillary Clinton be sworn in as the 45th President?

Since full moons coincide with endings, I expect the foregoing question to be answered by the Gemini full moon. Although it's been my experience that full-moon related events usually materialize before it occurs, I've seen them occur up to 5 days after the lunation. In this case, an additional 5 days would bring us to December 18th, the day before Mercury stations retrograde.

Already a potential influence of the retrograde can be seen in that there's a possibility that the recount may exclude votes of states that haven't completed the recount by December 19th.

I've yet to hear or read of any indication suggesting a delay of the electoral college vote (which would be appropriate for Mercury retrograde), so assuming that won't be the case, if it goes forward and the electoral votes of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were excluded, Trump would fall below 270.

If so, what then?

In a word, chaos.

When discussing the Grand Air Trine in the full moon chart, I noted that Mars is at 25° Aquarius.  While the flow of the pattern is positive, Mars happens to conjunct the USA's natal moon (Sibley chart). In a nation, the moon represents the public, and Mars making a direct conjunction to it suggests a strong emotional reaction from the public. Located in the nation's third house (communications, transportation, the press), such a reaction could easily take the form of peaceful protests as well as dangerous riots that could close roads, interfere with local routes and garner considerable attention from the press.

The potential for riots is increased by the fact that Mars will also trigger the August 18th lunar eclipse point. When a planet triggers an eclipse point, and especially when it's Mars, it activates that eclipse, and by doing so, it can precipitate events that are directly related to events that occurred at the time of the eclipse or are of a similar nature. Looking back to August 18th, the state of Wisconsin was the scene of violent riots as angry mobs took to the street to protest the fatal shooting of Sylville Smith by a police officer.

If Trump is stripped of his electoral win, there may be riots. At the same time, if Trump is affirmed as the President-elect, we may witness them again.

Is any of this destined to happen? Of course not; individuals have free will.

The Final Outcome

This article isn't about the political or legal process should such an event occur, which is why I'm not discussing it. Rather, it's about whether or not there will be an electoral flip that will send Trump home.

Although full moons coincide with conclusions, the attorney voice in my head says that given all of the legal filings, there's no way this matter will be resolved at or shortly after the full moon.

Whether it is or it isn't, I believe this full moon is a strong indicator of the final outcome. We'll find out soon enough if my analysis is right or wrong, but I'm going to conclude this article with the top three reasons why I believe that despite whatever chaos may possibly erupt, Trump will be affirmed as the President-elect.

1.  What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what changes under Mercury retrograde usually changes again after it goes direct.

2. The full moon is part of the Grand Air Trine, and as it falls on Trump's 10th house Sun and natal Chart Ruler (which represents him personal), he'll reap all of the positive energy and protection of this celestial triangle. In Trump's chart, this pattern connects the houses of substance:  2nd (income, values), 6th (employment, service) and 10th (career, destiny). Also of note, at the time of the full moon, Jupiter will be just slightly more than 1° past the exact point of his Jupiter return.

3.  New moons occur when the Sun and Moon are conjunct each other, and in Trump's chart, the transiting full moon falls on his natal full moon in reverse order which in turn creates two personal new moons in his chart.

In other words, the Gemini moon falls on his Gemini Sun. This creates a personal new moon in his 10th house of fame, honors, career and destiny. In Trump's chart, the Sun is his Chart Ruler and this aspect signifies represents a new beginning for him as POTUS.

The Sagittarius Sun falls on his Sagittarius Moon. This  creates a personal new moon in his 4th house of home and family. It signifies his new home in Washington, DC. As the co-ruler of his 11th house, it also represents the new groups (including Congress) that are coming into his life.

Pluto describes the life areas where you experience power struggles and complexity, as well as where you need to figure out solutions on your own.

The planet's sign, together with the aspects (connections) it makes to the rest of the chart as well as the house(s) it rules in your chart, fill in the details. When all of the factors are taken together and interpreted as a whole, every planet has insight to help you better understand your life.
