Dear Stargazers,

Right now we're experiencing a powerful energetic window because we're in between two eclipses: the January 31 super blue lunar eclipse in Leo and the upcoming solar eclipse in Aquarius on February 15.

Whereas the energy of the lunar eclipse was about bringing something to a conclusion and/or clearing out something (or someone) that had outlived its purpose in your life, the upcoming solar eclipse is a dynamic energy that's about bringing something (or someone) new into your life.

If you're still processing some type of ending or loss, the good news is that from now until February 15, there's a powerful energy at your disposal that can help speed up the releasing process.

Why is it so important to let it all go?

Because if you want to fill a void in your life with something (or someone) better, then you need to sweep out any left over debris. If you don't, there's a good chance the new will be tainted by the old.

On another note, for those of you who set intentions and perform new moon rituals for new beginnings, it's very important to be mindful about the time you do so. If not, you could inadvertently end up doing it during the dark of the moon.
Why the Dark of the Moon Matters

What many people don't realize is that while it's true that the dark of the moon (when the moon isn't visible in the sky) occurs before the new moon, it also occurs for a brief period after the new moon.

The dark of the moon that occurs approximately 24 hours before the new moon is part of the prior waning (releasing) cycle and is a powerful energy for release
If you set your intentions for new beginnings during this time, you're doing so under the wrong energy!

The dark of the moon that occurs approximately 24 hours after the new moon is part of the new waxing (attracting) cycle, but it's energy is dormant
If you set your intentions during this time, you're doing so under energy that's basically inert.

That's why it's best to wait a day or so after the new moon to set your intentions and/or perform manifestation rituals.
Doing so when the moon becomes visible (waxing crescent) ensures that you're planting seeds for a new beginning under an active energy.

SOLAR ECLIPSE at 27°08 AQUARIUS
February 15, 2018 | 4:05 PM
Washington, DC

With the Aquarius solar eclipse tightly conjunct Juno (marriage) and Mercury (communications), a marriage proposal may be in the stars for some of you.

As for the rest of you, this energy suggests that many will find that their thoughts (and/or discussions) focused on the idea of marriage (and marriage-like unions).  Given that the eclipse occurs in Aquarius and Uranus is in favorable aspect to it, this energy is fortunate for breathing new life into existing unions. However, a square from Jupiter warns against going overboard or having unrealistic expectations.

Collectively speaking, this eclipse energy may introduce frank (Jupiter) discussions (Mercury) about marriage (Juno), and since it's in Aquarius (rebel) and favored by Uranus (freedom), the focus may be on alternative relationships and lifestyles.

Of note, this solar eclipse lands exactly on the USA's moon (the public) in the 3rd house of (negotiations, communications) and makes a quincunx (uncomfortable) to Pluto in the 2nd house (nation's wealth and values).

Given the current political landscape, one of the possibilities is that this eclipse energy will soon bring an announcement of an immigration (Aquarius) deal that both sides agree to despite feeling uncomfortable with it. Another is that this influence will be bring an announcement about some type of scientific or technological breakthrough that could raise ethical or moral concerns.
