Dear Friend of America’s Survival:

Big fireworks at the Republican convention last night. We learned that Ted Cruz couldn’t and wouldn’t endorse Trump because Trump personally attacked Cruz’s wife and his father. “Right and wrong matters,” Cruz said. What would you do?

Trump has a nice family, with kids from three different marriages. Cruz has a nice family, too; he has been married to the same woman, Heidi, for about 16 years,  and has two kids. His father is still alive and campaigned for him. He saw Trump portray his wife as ugly, compared to Trump’s supermodel wife. He saw Trump suggest Cruz’s father was linked to the assassination of an American president.

What would you do if somebody said or did those things to your family – to your wife and father? Send me your thoughts at Kincaid@comcast.net

All of that aside, Trump has made another HUGE mistake, on the eve of his GOP national convention speech. He screwed NATO, ignoring NATO treaty obligations,  to the delight of Vladimir Putin. His reckless comments invite further Russian aggression in Europe.

Even before I learned of these comments, I had written my new column, Trump’s Blind Spot on Russia.

This new article in Politico says, “For Putin, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Just when I thought Trump made a smart pick in Mike Pence as vice-president, he tells the New York Times that he would have to think twice about defending NATO members facing a Russian invasion.

These are reckless words that threaten a world war.
